Hi Everyone:
The meeting tonight is in Tsawwassen. A bit of news plus I got an interesting email today we might like to discuss especially with the technical folks of the club. Seems there is a group in Point Roberts upset about a 50,000 watt radio transmitter going in close to the border. It has been approved by the FCC. According to the email this could disrupt amateur frequencies in the Tsawwassen area. The writer of the email not only has addressed his email to us but the mayor, SD MLA, police and fire chiefs. Hopefully some of the teckie people will be there tonight to get their take on the situation. The email does say the idea of the station is much like KVOS TV, they are directly looking for a Canadian audience more so then an American one.
