FIELD DAY
I would like to take this opportunity to invite all members, their families and friends to visit our field day site. The action starts at 11 am on Saturday and carries on for 24 hours. Come down and say hi and if you wish to try your hand you’ll get put to work. Were located across from the Boundary Bay Airport and you can enter off of 72 just before the railroad tracks if your coming from Ladner Trunk Road. If your working field day from another venue please keep an ear open for VE7SUN and make a contact.

As a companion box for our two grab ‘n go kits we discussed tonight about adding a third box with an HF Radio. Tom will be doing some costing on this project and we’ll have more news when he completes his findings.

Hot on the heels of field day we have the RAC Canada Contest approaching. I’m looking for some interested people who would like to take a shift at NDPSB and we’ll submit a club log. We had a few people sign up tonight, but were looking for all who would like to be involved. Don’t worry if you’ve never been in a contest we will try to pair you with a veteran. This promises to be a lot of fun and you can work whatever hours suit you. The contest starts Saturday June 30, 5 pm PDT and runs till Sunday July 1, 4:59 pm PDT. Send me an email if you would like to participate and what hours you would like to participate.

Thursday June 21 Meeting

Hi Everyone:
The meeting tonight is at the cop shop in Tsawwassen. We’ll see if there’s any final touches we need for field day, a bit of news to pass along, and a project to discuss. See you there at 7 tonight. Gord

Field Day

Here is a map of our Field Day site with 300M circle and locations of some stations(subject to change). Also, there are pictures of various locations marked on the map by numbers and a few colours in the folder. I would like a count of  the number of people who will be present for supper on Saturday (operator, spouses and friends).

Name Badges

I received an email this morning from a chap who makes name badges for Surrey and Burnaby clubs.  I know this has come up in discussion at a couple of our meetings.  The badges are low cost in pricing.   $5.00 for the badge with a pin on the back or $7.50 if you prefer a magnetic backing.  We can also have our DARS logo put on it.  The badge would have both your name and call sign on it.  If your interested let me know.  Some samples below
