To celebrate the bicentennial of the birth of Sir John A Macdonald, members of the Delta Amateur Radio Society will be operating a special events station during the month of January 2015.
Commemorating the anniversary of his birth on Sunday January 11, stations will be operating from the Ladner Pioneer and the George Mackie library. There will also be exhibits of vintage radio equipment and birthday cake will be served.
Member may sign up to use the exclusive Sir John A Macdonald Special Event call sign, VC7SJAM, during the month of January.
The Delta Amateur Radio Society, located in Delta, British Columbia, provides an outlet for radio amateurs to gather and share their experiences in the hobby. Our meetings are open to the public. We invite all to attend our meetings and learn about the hobby of amateur radio.
